They pray… Or at least, they pose as if they could. What we have is an impossible image , a paradox: armed spirituality, faith transformed into defense.

The drawing doesn't ridicule. Nor does it glorify. It simply shows. And in that gesture, the viewer is exposed: what do they feel when they see this? Laughter, bewilderment, fear, criticism?
Weapons and religion have often gone hand in hand throughout history. This painting doesn't invent anything. It simply presents it before our eyes, unfiltered, unsanitary.
